How it works
From a need or a finished file to design, manufacturing and delivery. One account can be used as a customer, designer and print provider.
Beta: payments are disabled. You can post requests and receive bids. The payment flow described below applies only when payments are enabled.
If you need something printed
- 01Start with a finished 3D file, photos of a broken part or a description of your idea.
- 02Without a printable file, your request goes to designers first. Describe its use and dimensions; materials can be recommended later.
- 03Once a printable file is ready, compare manufacturing bids and agree on material, tolerances and delivery.
- 04Accept a bid and agree on the next step. Payments through PrintBid3D are disabled during beta.
- 05Review the result photos and measurements, then document whether the delivery is approved.
For designers and print providers
- 01Describe your skills and equipment in your profile. You can design, manufacture or do both.
- 02Designers prepare printable models. Print providers choose manufacturing jobs matching their equipment and calibration requirements.
- 03Document tolerance checkpoints as you go — measurements plus photos.
- 04Ship or hand over locally, request approval and document completion. Payments are disabled during beta.
If something goes wrong
Objective evidence first: mesh analysis, tolerances and photos. If you still disagree, five randomly selected jurors with strong ratings vote. The majority decides and the decision is final and binding for both sides.
