Privacy policy
PrintBid3D is a marketplace for 3D print jobs. We keep the data needed to run bidding, delivery and dispute resolution — nothing more.
Data controller
The controller for the personal data processed on PrintBid3D is Nicklas Andersson, a private individual based in Södertälje, Sweden, reachable at privacy@printbid3d.com.
What we store
Account and profile: email, display name, language, bio, machines, materials and town/postcode. Jobs: descriptions, models, reference images, file analyses, bids, messages, measurements and delivery photos. We also process forum activity, reviews, notifications and information needed for moderation and disputes. The map directory shows an approximate location, not your home address. Exact addresses may nevertheless appear in pickup instructions, messages or files you provide. Do not include sensitive personal data or other people’s private information unless necessary for the matter.
Why we store it
To match jobs with printers, to show objective evidence if a delivery is questioned, and to let the community jury judge a dispute on facts instead of opinions.
Legal basis for each purpose
Running your account, jobs, bids and payments: performance of a contract. Fraud prevention, abuse detection, contact masking and platform security: legitimate interest. Marketing emails, analytics and non-essential cookies: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time in cookie settings and notification settings. Accounting records for payments: a legal obligation.
Your 3D files
Models and reference files are stored privately. The customer, the assigned provider and a directly invited provider while the invitation is active can access files that pass the safety check. Jury access concerns case evidence, photos and messages, not general access to model files. Authorised administration and technical processing may be needed to operate the service.
Who processes data for us
Lovable provides hosting, database/authentication and transactional email in the current setup. Google is used for optional Google sign-in and maps/geocoding. Google Workspace handles support and privacy correspondence. Google Maps may act as an independent data controller. Provider roles and applicable agreements still need verification for our subscription; not every provider acts solely as a processor. Stripe payments and the Discord integration are disabled during beta.
Transfers outside the EU/EEA
Processing may take place outside the EU/EEA depending on the service and subprocessors. Hosting regions, subprocessors and applicable transfer safeguards are being verified. We cannot yet confirm that all processing stays in the EU or that every required agreement is in place.
How long
Theme, language and currency are saved only with your permission. Cookie choices are renewed after 180 days. Local request drafts and photos expire after 30 days of inactivity and are removed when the draft feature is used again on the device. Account deletion may require manual assessment for ongoing jobs, disputes or payment history; historical content may remain. Notifications in the service, including unread notifications, are scheduled for daily deletion once they are more than 90 days old. A backlog or service interruption may delay deletion. This removes the notification copy, not the related job, message or email. Retention periods and cleanup for other server data, provider logs and backups are still being clarified and implemented.
Your rights
Your profile offers a self-service extract of profile details and recorded activity. File contents, payment/provider records and internal moderation/audit records are not included. This extract does not replace your right to request access to personal data. You may also request correction, erasure, restriction and, where applicable, portability or object to processing.
Complaining to a supervisory authority
If you believe we handle your data incorrectly, contact us first at privacy@printbid3d.com. You always have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY) or the supervisory authority in your own country.
Contact
For questions about your personal data or to exercise your rights, contact privacy@printbid3d.com. GDPR requests should normally receive a response within one month.
