Terms & dispute policy

Last updated 2026-10-01.1. Version 2026-10-01.1.

PrintBid3D is a marketplace. Read this before you post a job or place a bid — the dispute rules are binding on you.

Payments and payouts through PrintBid3D are disabled during beta. Payment clauses below describe the prepared flow that applies only if payments are activated later and you are informed before using it.

In short

  • —The contract is between buyer and seller — PrintBid3D only introduces you.
  • —A dispute is decided by five jurors, majority rules.
  • —Their decision is final — it cannot be appealed to PrintBid3D.
  • —Measurements and photos decide the case, not opinions.

1. PrintBid3D is a marketplace, not a party

PrintBid3D only introduces customers who need something printed to printers and designers who can do it. The contract about price, scope, delivery, warranty and result is entered into directly between the buyer and the printer or designer. PrintBid3D is not a party to it, is not the seller, reseller, agent or representative of either side, does not print or design anything, does not inspect the parts, and gives no guarantee about a printer's skill, materials, lead time or result. We provide the tools around the deal: bidding, chat, the jury and payment handling. Holding the payment is payment handling only — money passing through the platform does not make PrintBid3D a party to the transaction. The seller handles invoicing, any VAT and any warranty or complaint on that sale; the platform service fee is the only thing PrintBid3D sells you.

2. Disputes are decided by five jurors

If the parties cannot agree, either of them can open a dispute. The dispute is put to a panel of five impartial jurors: experienced users with a high rating who are not involved in the job. A simple majority of the five decides the outcome.

3. The decision is final and binding

By creating an account you accept that a dispute decided by the jury is final and binding on you. The decision cannot be appealed to PrintBid3D, cannot be reopened, and PrintBid3D will not overrule it, renegotiate it or compensate the losing side. You waive any claim against PrintBid3D arising from the outcome of a dispute.

A jury decision does not remove statutory consumer rights. You may still contact ARN, an appropriate dispute resolution body or a court.

4. What the jury judges on

Jurors decide on objective evidence only: the tolerances agreed when the job was posted, the measurement checkpoints, the entered measurements and the uploaded photos. Taste, personal expectations and anything not documented in the job carry no weight. This is why measurements and photos matter — undocumented claims usually lose.

5. Payment

Payments and payouts are disabled during beta. If the payment service is activated later, payment will be held until the customer approves the result or the jury decides, and PrintBid3D will administer the release according to the outcome. Administering a future payout does not make PrintBid3D responsible for the print itself.

6. Liability

PrintBid3D provides the platform as is. Automatic file analysis, risk flags and calibration checks are aids, not warranties. PrintBid3D is not liable for printed results, delays, shipping damage, lost files, misuse of models or any loss arising from a job or a dispute outcome. Claims about the print itself, the design or the delivery are directed at your counterparty, not at PrintBid3D, and any liability of the platform is limited to the service fee paid for the job in question. This disclaimer covers the deal between the parties: it does not limit rights you have under mandatory law, nor the platform's responsibility for its own service.

7. Your files

You must own the rights to uploaded files or have permission to use them. Models and reference files are stored privately. The customer, the assigned provider and a directly invited provider while the invitation is active can access files that pass the safety check. Jury access concerns case evidence, photos and messages, not general access to model files. Authorised administration and technical processing may be needed to operate the service. Providers may not reuse, resell or republish a customer’s model without permission.

8. Accounts and conduct

One account per person or workshop. Ratings, reviews and jury votes must be honest; manipulating them, voting in your own dispute or opening bad-faith disputes leads to lost score, lost jury access and account closure.

9. Changes

These terms may be updated. Material changes are shown to you and require a new acceptance before you can post a job or place a bid.

10. Who operates PrintBid3D

PrintBid3D is operated by Nicklas Andersson, a private individual based in Södertälje, Sweden. Your agreement with the platform is with that party. Questions, complaints and legal notices go to support@printbid3d.com.

11. Who you buy from

A job can be carried out by a business (a trader) or by a private individual printing as a hobby. Consumer law — the Swedish Consumer Sales Act and the Distance Contracts Act — applies only when the seller is a trader and the buyer is a consumer. Between two private individuals the Sales Act applies instead, together with the platform's own dispute rules. The seller's status is stated in the profile and you should check it before you accept a bid.

12. Right of withdrawal (14 days)

When you buy as a consumer from a trader at a distance you normally have 14 days to withdraw. There is a statutory exception for goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised — which covers almost every print ordered here. Once production of your part has started, the right of withdrawal no longer applies. You are told this before you pay, and paying counts as your express request to start and your acknowledgement that the right lapses. Design-only jobs delivered as files follow the same rule for digital content produced to order.

13. Faults and complaints

If the delivered part is faulty you can complain. Against a trader a consumer may claim a fault for up to three years; between private individuals the Sales Act gives two years. Complain as soon as you notice the fault by opening a claim on the job and uploading photos of the defect together with the measurements. A claim opened inside the platform's claim window also preserves your payment protection.

14. Platform fee, receipts and VAT

PrintBid3D charges a service fee on the job, shown in full before you pay. The price of the print itself is set by the printer, who is responsible for invoicing and for any VAT on that sale.

Payments are disabled during beta. The operator is not VAT registered, so the prepared platform-fee examples do not include VAT.

15. Applicable law and where a case is heard

Swedish law applies to your agreement with PrintBid3D, and a case is heard by Stockholm District Court. If you are a consumer resident in another EU country, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your own country and can also sue there. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.
